Engagement Number Four, Prediction comes true

Following a recent trip to New York, James Davis and Sarah Duke have now got engaged. Our Congratulations go to the both of them. 

This is the fourth recent engagement, and was predicted in the January news. As for future predictions, the crystal ball has temporarily gone cloudy.

Hen Night for Cathy

For the female members of Rotaract, please keep Saturday June 30th free in your diary, since this is the date Cathy will be having her hen night. Lisa will be organising the event,  so please contact her for details.

This years charity

It was decided at the March business meeting that funds raised this year  will go to Clatterbridge Oncology Centre. This will start on July 1st 2001 and will run for 12 months.

Wirral Coastal Walk

The date of  this years Wirral coastal walk has been set as the Sunday 20th May. Due to the foot and mouth outbreak, it may yet be postponed. 

Still tickets left for Chester Charity River Cruise

On Thursday 17th May  on the River Dee in Chester there is a charity river cruise organized by Heswall Rotary. The event kicks off at 7.30pm,  with tickets being £15.50 (Food is included). Please contact Lucia if you wish to participate in this spring cruise down the Dee.

Wirral Minis

On Sunday June 17th there is to be a mini (car) rally at Arrowe Park. Marshals are required for the event. Please let Lucia know if you wish to volunteer. All monies raised by  the mini rally go the Christopher Johnson Fund. It helps seriously ill children go on a holiday of a lifetime. Fund is based in Neston and named after Christopher Johnson who sadly died of a brain tumor in 1987, aged five.
