| Croatian Rotaract Visit.Tuesday 9th July marked the day when we had fellow Rotaract members from Split, Croatia. They were Hrvoje, Hrvoje, Maja, Ivana and Anna. We met at the Anchor Pub in Irby, where they experienced English Pub food. Then we met them the following Saturday to show them the sights of Liverpool. Here are some of the pictures from the recent visit.
They enjoyed their time visiting us, so much that have invited our Rotaract club to visit them next year in Croatia. Thank you for the invite, we all enjoyed the time spent with you. It was due to be Rachel Philips, but with her planning her marriage and trying to find a new house, she has unfortunately had to withdraw from taking up the position. This means that Lucia, has volunteered to stay on as the President for the time being. Helen gets slap happy over 'hut' incidentAt the 16th July business meeting, Helen P was giving a verbal warning of a slap to fellow well respected member, Adam. Helen was not pleased that Adam kept referring to the community hall near to her house, in Ellesmere Port, as a hut. 'If you don't shut up soon, I'm going to give you a slap' she was reported to have said. Dave A, witness to the incident, said " She was really annoyed at being teased again by him (Adam). I don't blame her, he always takes the Michael out of me as well, just because I get lost all the time when driving anywhere".
