Social Activities

At Heswall Rotaract we lead a varied, exciting social life as you can see from the list of activities on your right.

We meet every Tuesday at various locations around the Wirral. Social events are not just limited to Tuesdays. Recent weekend events have included laser quest in Chester, a weekend trip to Wales and a New Years Eve Party to name but a few.

The activities are decided upon by the members themselves at a monthly meeting called a business meeting. Although this might sound very formal, it is in fact quite the opposite. People are free to express ideas and suggestions for any future activity.

The range of events is increasing all the time, as the members think of new activities. 

The frequency of each activity depends upon seasonal, financial, and popularity factors.

Charity Events

We also help to raise money for charities and assist in the well being of the local community.

Each year we adopt a different charity to raise money for. This year it's the Newborn appeal, while last year it was Macmillon Nurses.

Last Christmas, we assisted in making parcels of seasonal provisions for pensioners and then delivering them.  Another year we donated toys for children at Wirral NCH.

Members find such activities very rewarding and a lot fun  especially when retiring to the pub afterwards.
